Cedar Hills Regional Landfill Area 5 Development and Operations

Planned and managed the procurement, permit acquisition, design, construction, and commissioning of the over $ 85 million 30 – acre Area 5 landfill cell expansion. Led the construction management team that oversaw the development of this first subtitle D landfill cell in Washington State.

Received recognition from the Washington State Department of Ecology for Excellence in Construction Management. Planned and managed the development of new LFG extraction wells, groundwater monitoring wells, landfill fill plans, and related operations and maintenance manuals. Developed equivalency analysis, permit application and acquired permits that enabled the first use of alternative daily cover at the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill in Washington State, which, enabled extension of landfill life. Other tasks included waste mining, wetlands considerations, airspace calculations, alternate liner configuration and stability, leachate management systems.
